Yes, VM did sing, as did what's-his-name, silly detective guy. Private eyes, they're watching you! from the high window. I remember so little television, but I will never forget that scene, it was the best. Based on the singing they did do, I feel confident they would have done a musical episode if the show had gone on a little longer and if they could have come up with a halfway decent reason to.
Ohhhh I have wished so many times the Troika could have had a song. They had such great fodder for it, too. Perhaps with a bridge by Andrew re: his feelings for Warren? That would have been so cool.
IIRC, Alyson Hannigan was pretty upfront about not being able to sing. Not being able to, or not wanting to, I forget which. Possibly both.
