What's the story with fandom? Why is my flist so quiet of late? Has everyone moved to Dreamwidth?

www.dreamwidth.com is an LJ-esque site, same open source code journal/blog kinda thing, but supposedly with less of an assy corporate vibe. Like LJ was before the people who originally made it sold it (I think). At least, that's the impression I get, and it seems like a lot of people have left LJ for there, and a few post on both.

I post both places. Maybe it's slow in the summer? Hiatus?

Maybe...but it seems like my friendslist is super silent. Like for a really long time, most of them. I hate to think so many people have fallen out of fandom entirely. (Course, I kinda did, so...yeah.) I don't know.

I'm not cool enough for Dreamwidth. I just have one heck of a boring life.

But don't we all though? If the fannish people of LJ have gone over to Dreamwidth, they've no doubt taken their inner reserves of geeky with em. We'd fit in.
